Max Oosterwegel

I am a postdoctoral researcher at the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC/WHO), where I study (early-onset) colorectal cancer. Before this, I was a PhD student in environmental epidemiology at the Institute for Risk Assessment Sciences at Utrecht University, where I analyzed untargeted metabolomic data to study respiratory health (i.e., asthma and COPD). I originally did my bachelor’s in artificial intelligence and my master’s in data science. The views expressed on this website are solely my own and do not necessarily represent the decisions, policy, or views of IARC or the World Health Organization (WHO).
